Dr Soji Swaraj
Qualifications: MBBS (Sydney University), MBA (AGSM), PhD (Sydney University), FRACP
Training: Dr Swaraj studied medicine at the University of Sydney and then completed his specialty training in internal medicine and Endocrinology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He gained experience in diabetes management under the guidance of Professor John Turtle, Professor Dennis Yue and metabolism and obesity under Professor Ian Caterson.
Dr Swaraj completed a PhD in molecular endocrinology under the supervision of Professor David Handelsman. During this work, he developed a transgenic mouse model examining the role of follicle stimulating hormone in spermatogenesis.
Dr Swaraj delivers specialist consultation in a large number of diseases affecting the endocrine system. He is an expert in the field and strives to improve the health of his patients in partnership with clients’ GPs.

Liaising with GPs
If urgent advice and treatment are required, Dr Swaraj will contact a patient’s GP over the phone to ensure a speedy start to any care is given. He can also write referral letters and prescriptions if urgent if your GP is absent. No charges are made for these services.
When you attend your consultation you need to bring:
- Your referral letter
- All your medications or their packets/bottles or Webster pack
- Your blood glucose booklet and glucometer if you have diabetes
- Any recent scans or x-rays
- Any recent blood tests reports
- Details of any other specialists whom you want to receive copies of Dr Swaraj's report. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your partner, friend or relative into the consultation room with you and they are free to ask Dr Swaraj questions during the consultation.
